Oksana Mysina and her guitarist from Oxy Rocks Sergei Shchetinin helped open the new Cinemarina international film festival at the Cinema House in Moscow on March 31 with acoustic performances of the Buena Vista Social Club song “Viente anos“ and the old Russian romance „The Shawl No Longer Warms Me.”

Vitaly Melnikov is at work in St. Petersburg filming his latest movie. It is a biopic about Anton Chekhov and its working title is “Lions, Eagles and Partridges.” Kirill Pirogov is playing Chekhov and Svetlana Ivanova is playing Lidia Avilova. Svetlana Kryuchkova, Alexei Devotchenko and Oksana Mysina play a trio of bohemians from Chekhov's circle.

Dylanradio.com, an internet radio site devoted exclusively to the music of Bob Dylan and based in Canada, has begun its annual contest of the best cover versions of Dylan songs by bands from all over the world. But before kicking off the new contest, they published their list of the best Dylan covers of 2009-2010. [5-03-2010] Oksana Mysina Joins Eldar Ryazanov to Honor Andrei Petrov

On March 7 at 9:25 p.m., the Culture Channel will air a concert that was organized and hosted by film director Eldar Ryazanov in honor of his friend and frequent collaborator, the composer Andrei Petrov. Numerous actors, singers and musicians sing songs that Petrov wrote for some of the most popular films in Russia. Oksana Mysina, backed by the SymphoJazz Orchestra, sings Petrov's «Generals of 1812,» based on a poem by Marina Tsvetayeva.
