The premiere of the most recent Long Distance Affair project, produced by PopUpTheatrics, took place on Feb. 5. Oksana Mysina was one of about a dozen actors performing ten-minute plays in cities all over the world by skype for audiences gathered in front of computer screens in New York. Oksana performed a piece originally written by Peca Stefan from Rumania. Her director Doug Howe worked with her from New York. Each actor performs 15 times in the course of one night and performs a total of four nights in the course of the month of February.

Oksana Mysina will be the guest of Ksenia Larina during her “Culture Shock” program on Echo Moskvy radio on Sat., Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.

Some 2,000 people showed up at the Cinema House on Jan. 29 for a showing of Vitaly Melnikov's latest movie, a creative bio-pic of Anton Chekhov — “The Admirer.” The film stars Kirill Pirogov as Chekhov and Svetlana Ivanova as Lydia Avilova, a young writer who befriends him for a time. It also features Oksana Mysina in the comic role of a decadent poetess who is part of a trio of writers who will give Chekhov no peace.
