[18-03-2009] Showing of Nadezhda Ptushkina's film, Bravo, Laurencia!
The first public showing of Bravo, Laurencia! Nadezhda Ptushkina's film based on her own play, will take place at TsDRI (Central House of Art Workers) on Saturday, March 21 at 6 p.m. Oksana Mysina performs the lead role in the comedy about a woman who, when she has a baby, learns more about her mother than she ever expected to know. The showing will take place at an evening honoring Ptushkina's work as a writer and director.

[13-03-2009] Premiere of Olesya Fokina's documentary Don't Tell Me Who You Are
The award-winning documentary filmmaker Olesya Fokina will host the premiere of her latest work in the White Hall of the Cinema House on Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 7 p.m. Don't Tell Me Who You Are in part explores the work of Xavier Emmanuelli, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and one of the co-founders of Doctors Without Borders. Included in the film are reports of the organization's activities with homeless children in Moscow. Oksana Mysina dubbed the Russian voices of some of the women in the film, including jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater who performed a benefit concert for Doctors Without Borders in Moscow. The premiere is presented by Kod-Film+, Samusocial International and the French Cultural Center in Moscow. The Cinema House is located at Vasilyevskaya Ulitsa, dom 13. [2-03-2009] Oxy Rocks — Runners-Up in International Bob Dylan Cover Contest
Oksana Mysina and her band Oxy Rocks took a close second place in an international internet contest of musicians performing covers of Bob Dylan's songs. Oksana and band competed with their Russian-language version of Dylan's Things Have Changed. The winners of the contest, Maggie's Farm Southern Band, are from Naples, Italy. They performed the song Slow Train from Dylan's gospel period. Log onto www.dylanradio.com to hear these and thousands of other Dylan songs — by Dylan and by others.
