[30-05-2008] Latvian Rock Legend Ainars Virga Shares Stage with Oxy Rocks
In the near future the popular guitarist and songwriter Ainars Virga will join Oksana Mysina and Oxy Rocks for a series of concerts planned for Russia and Latvia. Virga, the leader of the legendary Latvian rock band Livi, will perform songs by Oxy Rocks and Livi, as well as some new songs he has written with Oksana Mysina and her band. Concerts in the near future include two events in honor or Russian Independece Day — an outdoor performance on June 11 at 3 p.m. in the Moscow region of Mitino, and on June 12 at 9 p.m. at the Bilingua club. [27-05-2008] Moscow Holidays festival opens
Oksana Mysina was a featured speaker at the opening of Moscow Holidays, the fifth international festival of children's screen art, at the Pushkinsky Film Theater on Pushkin Square. Conducted under the aegis of the Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO, the festival presents over 160 short films (most running between 2 and 15 minutes) made by young filmmakers as young as 3 years old and as old as 18. The festival runs through June 1.
[26-05-2008] Oksana Mysina and Oxy Rocks on American Radio
The famous American DJ Michael Tearson, who hosts a regular program on Sirius Satellite radio, has honored Oksana Mysina's cover version of Bob Dylan's Oscar award-winning song Things Have Changed. After discovering it on www.myspace.com/oxyrocks, he wrote and asked for permission to include it in a special Mother's Day program devoted to recordings of Dylan singing duets with women and of women singing Dylan's songs. I LOVE your version of 'Things Have Changed', he wrote.
[19-05-2008] Congratulations to Vitaly Melnikov on his 80th Birthday!
Oksana Mysina was one of a huge number of actors, directors and other film people who took part in a two-day celebration of Vitaly Melnikov's 80th birthday in St. Petersburg. The actual date of his birthday was May 1, but the big parties were held at the Oktyabrsky film theater and Dom Kino in St. Petersburg on May 12 and 13. Among the many who spoke or performed for the occasion were Viktor Sukhorokov, Vadim Abdrashitov, Lyudmila Zaitseva, Svetlana Kryuchkova, Viktor Proskurin, Valentina Talyzina, Natalya Yegorova and Pyotr Todorovsky.
