The second part of Peter Greenaway's The Tulse Luper Suitcase will be shown in Moscow as part of the Moscow International Film Festival. Greenaway shot the film as a joint English-Russian project, with top Russian actors — Nikolai Dobrynin, Yevgeny Stychkin, Amalia Mordvinova, Polina and Ksenia Kutepova, Valery Barinov, Yevgenia Dobrovolskaya, Irina Apeksimova, Vladimir Steklov and Oksana Mysina among them — doing the voiceovers for the British performers. The film shows on Sunday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at Dom Kino.
[16-06-2006] Oksana Mysina in Swedish drama project
Oksana Mysina is one of four Russian actors taking part in the Sweden:Upgrade project of contemporary Swedish drama. Also working with her under the guidance of Swedish director Mathias Lafolie are Igor Fokin (Lenkom), Natalya Rychkova (film actress) and Alexander Borisov (Playwright and Director Center). They will conduct readings of excerpts from six Swedish plays at the Meyerhold Center on Saturday, June 17 at 2 p.m. in the 5th floor foyer. Also in attendance will be Eric Uddenberg, whose play Father Slaughter is one of the works being presented.
[13-06-2006] Oleg Treshchyov's book Not Idols, but People
Oleg Treshchyov will receive a Teatral award for his book Not Idols, but People, published in 2006 by Chelyabinsk State University. The book is to be honored as an example of a high quality contemporary book about theater. In the book, Treshchyov wrote over 50 pithy and witty essays about actors and actresses he has known, met and observed over the last 25 years. Some of his heroes include Faina Ranevskaya, Yury Yakovlev, Yulia Borisova, Sergei Yursky, Maris Liepa, Angelina Stepanova, Yulia Rutberg and Oksana Mysina. The ceremony takes place at the Russian Army House at 7 p.m.

[9-06-2006] K. I. from'Crime' to tour Brazil
Kama Ginkas's production of K. I. from'Crime', starring Oksana Mysina in the title role of K. I. (Katerina Ivanovna Marmeladova), will tour to three cities in Brazil in the fall. They will play in Rio de Janiero, Brasilia and Sao Paolo between Sept. 19 and Oct. 10. This will be the 20th tour the show has taken and the 15th country it has visited since it opened at the Young Spectator Theater (The New Generation Theater) in November 1994.
[7-06-2006] Oksana Mysina in a new film by Nonna Agadzhanova
Oksana Mysina has agreed to play the lead female role in Bloody Mary, a 12-part TV miniseries by Nonna Agadzhanova. The film will be an ironic thriller about the search for a supernatural-sized, million-dollar diamond. It will also star Gennady Khazanov and Valery Garkalin. Shooting begins in June and will run through August. The film will be broadcast on Channel 1 no earlier than November.
[6-06-2006] Oksana Mysina in a new film by Vitaly Melnikov
Vitaly Melnikov has begun pre-production work on his latest film, The Agit-Brigade'Crush the Enemy!' It will tell the story of a small group of political prisoners in Siberian exile during the Second World War, including a singer, a painter, a projectionist in a movie theater and a 12 year-old boy. They are gathered into an entertainment group which travels around from village to village putting on shows in order to raise the low spirits of the local residents. Viktor Sukhorukov will play the soldier assigned to guarding the prisoners; Oksana Mysina will play a teacher, a fanatic true-believer in the Soviet dream, in one of the villages. Filming will take place in the Karelia region from July to September.

Oksana Mysina's rock band Oxy Rocks will perform at the Zapasnik club on Sunday, June 4 at 8 p.m.
